For a Tea Party, try a casual sandwich buffet. Hint: remember, the key to the success of this spread is to make it flow in order of how the menu will be consumed. Bread must be first and then the bread toppings–sandwich fillings, condiments; salads; beverages; and last, desserts.
For a Soup and Salad Bar, I suggest preparing soup and a variety of salads (vegetable, seafood, meat and fruit). To make the occasion out of the ordinary, set up a Taco Bar. In the world of taco bars I go with seafood or meat as the main filling then a variety of salsas and condiments. Hint: for a flavor treat marinate the seafood or meat so they have enough flavor to hold their own. Create a taco bar spread of tortillas, fresh diced tomatoes, avocados, red onions, a variety of cheeses and shredded lettuce. I also have jalapenos or other hot peppers available for your more daring guests.
