Asian Style Imitation Crab Pasta Salad
Imitation Crab - Salad Chunks

  • 12 oz pkg Coleson's Catch Imitation Crab Meat
  • 4 c cooked Lo Mein noodles
  • 2 c Combination of Vegetables (scallion bell pepper, carrot, celery, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts), julienned
  • 1/4 c Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tsp garlic chopped 
  • 1 tsp Fresh Ginger grated 
  • 1/2 c peanut or corn oil
  • 1/2 c Peanuts chopped

Instructions
  1. Make the dressing with the soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic; toss in all the ingredients. Chill.

Can be served in 1 hour or the next day.

  • Marinara sauce:
  • 1 can Tomatoes diced or crushed
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. garlic chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. Basil chopped
  • 1/2 Onion chopped

Cook Time 20 minutes

  • Marinara sauce:
  • 1 can Tomatoes diced or crushed
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. garlic chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. Basil chopped
  • 1/2 Onion chopped
Instructions
  1. Sauté all ingredients except the tomatoes.
  2. Add the tomatoes and simmer for 20 minutes or longer.
  3. Add fish of any kind as desired, cutting it into stew size pieces.
  4. Add crabmeat.
  5. Simmer until fish is done.
  6. Serve with garlic bread.
Recipe Notes

Variation: make the marinara as spicy as you like it, add any shellfish as well. In a hurry? There are many jarred sauces available.

  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic chopped
  • 8 oz. Coleson's Catch Imitation Crabmeat flakes or chunks
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic chopped
  • 8 oz. Coleson's Catch Imitation Crabmeat flakes or chunks
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. In a sauté pan, melt the butter and allow it to start to turn brown.
  2. Saute the crab, stirring every now and then. You want it to turn a little brown; then add the garlic and toss.
  3. Add the cheese and turn off the heat.
  4. Divide to 4 quality rolls or Foccacia bread to make sandwiches.
Recipe Notes

For a moister and richer product, spread the bread with aioli (garlic mayonnaise) before adding the Crabmeat mixture.

  • 1/2 Yellow Onion julienne
  • 1/2 Red Bell Pepper julienne
  • 2 c shredded Napa cabbage or regular green cabbage
  • 2 Tbsp. Ginger grated
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil corn or canola
  • 1 Tbsp. Sesame Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

  1. Heat a sauté pan, add vegetable oil and when hot, add onions and peppers.
  2. Stir over medium heat about a minute and add ginger and garlic.
  3. Toss in the Crabmeat and cabbage.
  4. As the cabbage starts to wilt add the soy sauce and sesame oil.
  5. When all is heated through, turn off heat.

Serving Suggestions: Serve over steamed white rice or Asian noodles.

  • 2/3 c dried lentils
  • 3 c Chicken Stock
  • 2/3 c Tomatoes diced
  • 1/4 c Cilantro chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
  • Salt and Pepper

Cook Time 25-30 minutes

  2. Add saffron, chicken stock and lentils.
  3. Simmer until lentils are tender (20-30 minutes).
  4. Add tomatoes, cilantro and lemon juice, simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add flaked crab and bring to a boil.
  6. Adjust seasoning.
